This past week we had Branch Conference. It was great except that Sacrament meeting went a little over---1 hr and 45 minutes. The room was very warm and from my seat at the piano, I could slowly watch one by one as people fell asleep. As like any branch conference they read the names of the leaders of the church. I was curious if I was included as Young Women's president and if they even knew my first name. I can officially say I am Siostra Steadman.
Notice the keyboard in the front.
Everyday I am impressed by the strength of this branch. Ewe is finishing a master's thesis. She told me yesterday that she hasn't slept in 4 nights. Yet she has been on several lessons with the missionaries. I asked her how she does it all, and she told me that helping missionaries is the best thing to give her a break and strength. She then gave a talk on Sunday, and she is Primary president. And she is only a couple years older than me. Each day I try to have just a little of the strength the members have. I am also working on being more patient. Last night as we called in our numbers, our district leader reminded us that serving a mission in Poland is a great way to practice patience.
